This entry is part 17 of 22 in the series The Major Arcana

It is the representation of catastrophe, of great upheaval. It stands tall, dark, but it is ready to topple over at any moment. It is the Tower.

You stand and stare at it in awe. You know what it epitomizes, and you are cautious to approach it, fearing that you might become one of its victims. You would like to avoid a cataclysm, but sometimes the cataclysm finds you.

You are helpless to change the events around you, but you do have control over how you react to those events. You can dive deep and draw upon your own inner peace and smooth away some of the rough waves from the tidal forces working on your life.

You back away from the Tower, not wanting to be caught up in its inevitable collapse. But the fact that it is here, before you, says that you should be ready for upheaval at any time. You know this and stand firm in your resolute strength. You can handle whatever is to come.
