Series: The Major Arcana
He is a wealthy man, dressed in tuxedos and $300 shoes, he sports a fancy watch on his wrist. He drives luxury sports cars and goes to the country club on weekends. He lives in the big city and makes decisions that will affect thousands of people who work under his purview.
He is a homeless man, dirty, beaten down, destitute. He has mental illnesses, all of which are currently untreated. He has a dog, which he cares far more about than he does for his own well-being. He sits on the streets while others walk past him. He is invisible.
He is a middle class man, with a wife and three children. He owns a house in the suburbs and drives a moderately conditioned minivan. His job pays well but not so well that he can buy more property or go on luxury vacations with his family. He works hard and plays harder, when he has the time.
This is the Fool, but he is not foolish. Rather he is more of a foil, breaking stereotypes even as he makes them. But what he does not know is that, in each case, something is about to happen. He is about to experience an upheaval of life, a new beginning, even as Death seeks to clutch him in its skinny, skeletal claws. And he will roll with the change, reinventing himself on a grand, cosmic scale.
Watch — and observe.
