Series: The Major Arcana
She is the queen of her temple, the holy guardian of her sacred sanctuary. She is dressed in scarlet satin and adorned with an array of finery befitting her station. The people come to her for guidance, and she is only too happy to provide. She consults with the stars themselves, and she brings answers to those who genuinely seek them.
You are one among many in the crowd. Yet, as the High Priestess scans those who have gathered seeking her wisdom, her eyes fall on you. She draws you out of the throng and pulls you to the side.
“You are lost, my child,” she says.
You nod in response, unable to find words to speak.
“I have good news for you,” she continues. “That big thing you have been waiting for will arrive soon. Your patience and effort will be rewarded by that which you desire.”
You feel relief and warmth at her words. You know exactly what she is talking about, and it gives you a boost to your spirit and to your step.
“Thank you,” you hear yourself respond. She nods and blesses you with a smile so radiant that you can’t help but smile back.
Then you return to your place amongst the crowd and watch as she pulls others aside for a blessing, a consultation, a boon.
