It is an active hive. Thousands of bees cluster around the thing, flying in and out, performing any number of tasks for the betterment of the hive as a whole. They build onto the hive. They forage for food. They nourish and care for the queen. But most of all, they defend the hive.

These are not ordinary bees. These bees are orange and black, each the size of a human thumb (the queen is noticeably larger still). They sound like miniature aircraft as they fly through the air. There sting is something best avoided at all costs.

But what makes these bees extra special is this: these fuckers can slip through quantum layers to sting you before you ever even cross paths with their hive. They can use the quantum foam to travel great distances. Which is why it is so unfortunate that this particular hive slipped lab containment. They have no natural predators. They have been genetically modified for maximum aggression. And their ability to use the quanta to their max advantage means they are a highly invasive species.

This is the third such nest that scientists have recovered from the wild. And it is certain there are now others spread about. To say the scientists have lost control of the situation would be a severe understatement. Already they’ve lost several agents to stings from these bees, stings which are almost always lethal, even if they only sustained a single sting.

It’s only a matter of time before these bees are everywhere and everyone is at risk. These bees thrive in almost any environment and so will take over any areas they are introduced to.

For your own safety, please remain indoors.
