As a beekeeper this kind of wholesale slaughter just makes me feel sick. It’s amazing to me how much damage just a few hornets can do to a hive in just a few hours. I can’t imagine what it would be like to come out one day to check your hive and find it completely wiped out. It makes me glad these monsters only live in Japan. Hornets have always freaked me out. This does nothing to allay that feeling.
