I am sort of curious – how much interest is there in a site that does what “Flashing in the Gutters”:http://tribe.textdriven.com/flash/ does, except with a focus on publishing flash fiction that is exclusively speculative? I’ve looked for a site that does this, and since I can’t find one, I’m tempted – very much tempted – to start one. Thoughts?

Check out this one http://www.365tomorrows.com/
Check out Cavan’s latest post and see of you can’t get any info on this from that.
Sorry. My a href didn’t work.

Thanks for the link, Tribe. I’ve been following 365 Tomorrows for a little while now. I know that they are going over to reader submissions here very soon, but it sounds like they are still only going to be doing a story a day. I could be wrong about that, of course, so if they’re going to put more than one a day, let me know. But I couldn’t find any mention of that. What I’d like to find is one like what your site does – many a day, if that is what is sitting in the queue.
Thanks for the info, Flood. I saw that one when John posted it up the other day. Still not quite what I’m looking for. :) Think I may just have to go for it. But we’ll see. I just got a whopper of a project that could keep me rather busy for a few days.
I actually was thinking of the same kind of thing a few weeks ago. I say go for it, the more the merrier.
Hey. I’m not exactly sure what Flashing in the Gutters does (never been there), but tastes of Darkness is a “carnival of flash” based on speculative fiction. Check it out:
Lets try that again…
Tastes of Darkness
Oh, for the love of…!
Screw it. You’ll just have to cut and paste.

Thanks for the encourager, Rebecca. I’m in the middle of something right now, but once I get a few free minutes (hopefully later this week), I may just go ahead and set up a new site for this and then advertise around to see if it takes off.
Heh, no problem, Anthony. I’ve been keeping an eye on Tastes of the Darkness recently. I’d like to participate in it, as well, and probably will try to do so once I can get my internet set up back at home. As things stand now, it’s difficult for me to do as much writing for the online medium since my access is so limited.
