The end of my day can’t get here soon enough to suit me. I’m about fit to split. Energy. Excitement. Enthusiasm. All those and more. Two reasons why I’m eager to leave the office today:
# My piano gets tuned tonight – finally. I can’t wait to hear how much better it sounds once all the strings actually resonate with their true frequencies (or at least as close as we can get them). I’ll be much more likely to sit down and play on a regular basis after it doesn’t hurt to listen. It’s amazing just how much an out-of-tune piano can turn even the most avid player away until things are set to right again.
# At long last I’ll be acquiring my Xbox 360. Thanks to an anonymous benefactor (whose namelessness is driving me batty), I can now join the ranks of Halo 2 (and soon, Halo 3) players on the killing fields in higher resolution. It’s rumored that there’s water on Warlock. I aim to see it.
I can’t wait. 5:00 is so far away…
There is water on Warlock, I thought you’ve seen it. Also, you will see things so much clearer when I stick you.
Hope it’s all done and set up now.
Wow, you were right on top of _that_ post. :)
Yeah, I’ve seen it, heard it, died in it. Can’t wait to see how much better the maps look on a 360.
Tonight, my friend. Tonight. I was putting up fence last night and so never made it back out to the store. I have plans to get ‘er done tonight after the tuner leaves.
The best part isn’t how great the maps look [which they look great] but about all of the great features the 360 gives you.
Turning the system on and off from the controller is great and you never have to go over to the TV unless you’re changing games.
If you have a Wireless controller, I recommend using the rechargeable batteries and either picking up the Quick Charge kit [Charge two batteries at once] or for you Jim, the Play and Charge kit. It wires you to the system while it charges, but it’s not a huge deal and you won’t ever have to worry about those pesky AA batteries.
Yeah, the Play and Charge kit is one of the items I have my eye on tonight. I’m hoping that buying the extended warranty doesn’t soak up too much of the extra cash on the card. Ideally, I’d like to pick up a second wireless controller, the Play and Charge, Kameo (for my wife), and the extended warranty. Of course, I may be willing to go ahead and drop a little extra cash down if that’s what it takes.
I have a confession to make. I sent you the card and it’s only got .50 cents on it.
Well, then, that was an awful big $.50. I just bought my system. God bless lunch breaks. :)
Jim, Awesome!! Finally get to join the ranks of the 360 group. That was a very kind gift. Remember the controller takes a little to adjust to so your game will reflect that for a short while. Let me know if you would like to borrow GRAW or any of my games you would like to try.
No hooking it up at work! ;)
Hey, anything you’re willing to let me borrow, I’m willing to try out. Maybe I’ll stop by your place this weekend when we’re in town and puruse your titles. :)
Yeah, I can’t tell you how much I’d have loved to be able to do that.
A few hours too far for ya? I’m sure we will catch up again soon.
Yeah, pretty much.
I’m sure we’ll see you guys this weekend, at least if you’ll be in town. :)
