Why Did Bank Of America Take Money From My Personal Account To Pay My Business Debt? – The Consumerist. In my experience with Bank of America, this sort of behavior is just par for the course. I banked with them several years ago, until I discovered that they would periodically change my free checking account to a different kind of checking account that accrue fees that they could deduct from my account. I’d change it back to free checking, and a few weeks later I’d find that it had been changed again, and I would once again find myself being charged fees. And they would always do this without ever once notifying that they were changing my account type.

There was never an apology, never a refund for the fees. A couple of instances of this behavior, and I decided to take my business elsewhere. I’ve never looked back, and if I have my way, I will never do business with Bank of America again. In my opinion, their banking practices border on the criminal.
