A Rare Personal Post

I don’t like to post about anything personal, about things going on in my life, about my daily goings-on. Frankly, in the long-range scope of things, the details of my life are irrelevant and
inconsequential. Just this once, I’m going to break my own rule.

I am simply requesting prayer. I’ve been fighting depression and discouragement for… at least a few weeks. It is affecting everything I do and am about. I simply ask for intercessory grace on my behalf, especially as I find I am unable to do so for myself.

I expect my posts will be sketchy for a few more days, until I am able to push my mind through the fog and force myself to write again.

  1. You got it…
And if you need to talk, let me know. I can’t *poof* make things better, but I’ll listen to you until *you’re* sick of talking to me. ~8Þ

  2. depression is an ugly thing. To many times the mind wants to say the Joy of the Lord is my strength, but the heart and feelings and perception of reality is  that it couldn’t be farther from the truth.
    You are in my prayers.

  3. Thank you for subscribing. As you know, I have been battling depression myself. I will pray for you. Often, since I got saved, what helps is to read Psalms 1-4. They seem to help with depression. One person told me you can’t think of two things at the same time, so I force myself to read the Bible, even if the words don’t compute. But these have been tough times for me as well, and depression keeps coming to the surface. I would offer to listen and not judge, but I also know that you do not know me well enough to do that, I suspect. I do hope you have a good pastor to talk with, I am blessed that way.

  4. Ok, so yeah, the book always come out before the movie does, normally in conjunction with the soundtrack, but this time, the book is out way early!  Yes the book is supposed to reflect the movie content, but I think the way this is being done is that the book, movie, and graphic novel all come at the same story from different angles.  Chewie is in the movie previews, in the film, but not in the book.  The book doesn’t focus so much on the Kashyyk battle that Chewie and Yoda are a part of…

  5. Props about your post on bibliology lounge…I would have just said it there but I figured all they wanted was comments debating one side or the other.
    I agree with you.

  6. Thanks for the comment. It really helped a lot. I’ll be praying for you. I hate to see my brothers/sisters in Christ not enjoying the full affect of God’s joy and love. I know that things get hard sometimes. The Lord knows I’ve been there. Things will be better, the Son will shine again. God BlessPeace, Love, JoyBryce
